Rainbow Center
Philosophy Rainbow Treatment Center's philosophy is that personal change and recovery from alcohol and drug addiction for Native American men and women can be achieved through participation in a culturally sensitive, highly structured, therapeutic treatment program. Because addiction has devastated so many aspects of the chemically dependent person's life, including their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being, we treat the disease with a whole-person approach, working towards healing on multiple levels. We pay special attention to the needs of Native American clients by providing services dedicated to breaking the multi-generational cycle of addiction in our community. We achieve this through programming which provides an opportunity for clients to reconnect with their heritage and history, and by recognizing and treating the impact of generations of loss and grief on the client, family and community. We believe that each client should be treated with dignity and respect, and with genuine care for their recovery, individuality and special needs. This attitude must be practiced at all times, by all members of the Rainbow Treatment Center staff. What we teach, we first must practice. Your family is also encouraged to participate in your treatment here. From weekly visitation to family counseling and Alanon groups, every attempt is made to help family members to come to a greater understanding of chemical dependency, and the healing process you are undergoing, and to begin their own healing journeys as well. For your part, we ask that you take your time here seriously, and as an opportunity to do one of the hardest, and greatest, things a person may do: To pick up the threads of life that chemical dependency has unwoven and tangled, and to weave a new and satisfying future for yourself. |
